post japan honeymoon: chicago

after we returned from our japanese honeymoon, we headed to chicago right away. with such few days between our travels, we didn't even see syd. he continued his honeymoon at my aunt and uncle's in mule creek.

i had a maternal and child health leadership program and conference to attend in chicago. it was wonderful to be back in the midwest and in chicago. we sincerely miss a city with soul and culture. and chicago is home to us both: me with my many visits to see my uncle don and matt during his northwestern years. we saw some of my old friends, Mark from WR, and jon from madison days and it was great to see nick and lindsey while we were there. although my days were packed with conference stuff, we managed to squeeze in good chicago times!
