Road trip back to Phoenix

Road trip back to Phoenix

We left Seattle on a Sunday morning after spending some good quality time in Seattle with Mariah's Uncle Don, Aunt Jan and family. It was a great way to say good bye to Seattle and wish the wonderful summer adieu. We drove from Seattle through eastern Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Utah on the first day. We spent the night in Salt Lake City and drove the rest of Utah and into Arizona the next day. The southern part of Utah was beautiful. Sydney pimped out in the back seat for the long haul as he layed on several pillows and dog beds. Before we knew it we were back in the 110/44 degree temperatures. It's good to be back in our house in Phoenix but we already miss Seattle.

We don't have new pictures from the last several weeks mostly because we've spent our time in Phoenix basically hibernating from the heat. Both of us having grown up in the midwest, it feels funny to hide away during Labor Day and the last days of summer because the sun never ends and the temperatures are scorching. Instead of hiking on the weekend, we meet friends for dinner, watch movies and do things around the house....kind of like you usually do in the winter. We are very much looking forward to the winter:)
